Togoshi Ginza, supposedly the longest shopping street in Tokyo. I read about this place from this link: https://digjapan.travel/en/blog/id=11797
I had actually taken lots of photos to show the wide variety of shops and of the shrine in the area. You can view the photos at my google drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vFQ8GYCCC6ZsOZUFQqmBPvxRiXuVfk4x
I did enjoy this shopping street due to the wide variety of shops in the area. Most shopping streets tend to have just a few variety of shops then different versions of those type of shops. At Togoshi Ginza, there are shops selling so many different things, from cafes and pet shops, to used washing machines to specialised shops selling sewing machines.
The shrine nearby was also amazing. One of the most interesting shrines/temples in Japan, and I have visited many shrines/temples in Japan. (I am quite an avid fan of places of worship.)
To top it off, there is a public bath house in the area. Firstly, what’s a sento and onsen? They are both public bath houses. Sento uses heated water for their baths and onsen uses natural spring water for the baths. The one at Togoshi Ginza is an onsen. What a treat for 460yen!
This is the mascot of the area. You would see different versions of him around the area.
One of the beautiful dessert shops.
Bought this to try. Wow. Very delicious Melonpan bun. Crispy on the top and soft inside.
This shops sells used things, including washing machines and refrigerators.
And out of the blues, a small shrine along the street.
Entrance to the Togoshi Hachiman Shrine.
I had a good rest here at the shrine, while waiting for the onsen to open at 3pm.
There are games to be played at the shrine.
On the seats, there are various soft toys. Very adorable.
The onsen at the area.
After a hot bath, the Japanese drink cold milk. So that’s what I did. There are vending machines selling cold milk at the onsen.
And those are the highlights of my day at Togoshi Ginza shopping street.
