The Indian tourists weren’t sure what was this building with the Dharma wheel inside. I then went in and spun the Dharma wheel. They went in after me and spun the Dhamma wheel as well.

(Hotel) Sikkim Temple House.

This hotel looks like a beautiful temple.

Road side stall beside Tergar Monastery.

The gates of the Tergar Monastery was closed and there were some machinery there. So I thought it was closed today or not open to the public today.

Seeing some Anis (a Tibetan Buddhist Nun is called Ani) at a road side stall beside Tergar Monastery drinking chai, I decided to take a break as well. I have been temple hopping and walking for about 2-3hours already.

Ordered a chai and copied what an Ani ordered, an egg burger.

Road side stall beside Tergar Monastery. My chai and egg burger.

The egg burger was simple, just an egg and toasted bread, but it was still delicious.

After I paid up the bill of 50 Rupees, the stall lady told me that the entrance of Tergar Monastery is by the side.

I thought that was very nice of her. She didn’t need to provide the additional information. After visiting Tergar Monastery, I came back again and bought a bottle of water from her.

During a puja (a prayer session is called a puja), the hall would be filled with Lamas (a Tibetan Buddhist monk is called a Lama). The Lamas would be seated cross-legged on the benches. It is quite a grand scene.

Walked back to Rama Guest House and decided to have lunch at the next door Hari Om International Restaurant and Cafe again.

Lunch. Hari Om International Restaurant and Cafe.

I saw “Maggie” on the menu. “Maggie” in Singapore means instant noodles. Was surprised to see the same term being used in India as well.

I ordered “Plain Maggie”, 60 Rupees, and Mushroom Curry, 130 Rupees. The “Plain Maggie” was the curry Maggie noodles that we have in Singapore.

I then took out the noodles and doused it with the mushroom curry to eat. Yummy.

Rested for the rest of the afternoon. Would visit the Maha Bodhi Temple again later this afternoon or evening.
