For me, I can deal with a lot of things during my holidays, be it late or even cancelled transportation, to being sick or getting diarrhoea, to getting lost in the middle of nowhere. The one thing which I hope I never get to deal with is theft or robbery.
To me, theft and/or robbery during any holiday would just make things possibly more troublesome in many ways. Especially the theft of phones nowadays.
Our phones, nowadays, are essentially needed in lots of aspects in our lives.
So, due to the above, I am kinda paranoid about my phone being stolen or pickpocketed. So, I prepared some precautions to avoid theft and/robbery of my phone.

For this India trip, I brought along 2 other phones. (So, I have 3 phones with me.)
The main phone (used to take this photo) would be kept in the bag as much as possible. Mainly taking it out to take photos.
The left phone in the picture is my previous phone, which still usable. I plan to get a local SIM card for it. So I can use it for google maps and for additional data during the trip.
The right phone is my old iPhone 6. I have wiped out almost all data on it. But it is so old that I cannot even erase all the settings since I cannot even log onto the Apple ID. So, if there is any robber, I would just give him this phone as a dummy phone. I would use it only to listen to music. Also to show pickpockets that it is my “main phone”.
On top of that, I bought clips to attach to the phones which I would attach to lanyards linked to my sling bag.
In addition, I have “Find my” device on both my main phone and the phone on the left.
The worse case scenario would be my sling bag getting stolen then everything would be gone. *Touch wood.
