For me, in Tokyo, due to flight timings and/or checking in/out of hotel timings, I want to find a place to chill, charge my devices and have free wifi. I found that place on Caffe Veloce which has several outlets in Tokyo, and other outlets in Japan as well.
Their prices are very reasonable as well. So, thought of sharing this fantastic chain cafe.
Other options:
1. Doutor Coffee
Doutor Coffee is another possible choice for wifi and charging points. But I find that not all Doutor Coffee outlets have charging points whereas all Caffe Veloce outlets have some charging points.
2. Manga Cafe
There are several chains of Manga Cafes in Japan. Manga Cafes are basically like the name suggests, places for one to read manga (Japanese Comics) at an hourly rate (or there could be packages).
Besides Manga buffs who love to read Manga, others would go there to relax, enjoy the free flow of drinks. Depending on the Manga Cafe that you go to, there could be free flow of ice cream, soup, and maybe snacks. You can also order food in the Manga Cafes.
There are some Manga Cafes with shower facilities but these are an additional cost. Usually 500yen per shower. No towels provided though.
Of course, Manga Cafes has free wifi and charging points and usually your own cubicle.
The problem is that the websites for Manga Cafes are generally in Japanese. You can search for “GeraGera Manga Cafe” or “Gran Cyber Cafe”.
