Hi, I am Will from Singapore. I am a solo budget backpacker who explores off the beaten tracks. This blog is meant to tell my new adventures when travelling and providing budget tips to the places that I have traveled to. If I have the time, I would write on my past adventures.
These are a few of my more radical past adventures:
1. 8 May to 6 June 2017: Solo backpacking trip around Southeast Asia. Singapore – Malaysia – Thailand (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai) – Laos (Luang Prabang) – Vietnam (Hanoi, Bai Chay (Ha Long Bay), Ninh Binh, Hue, Hoi An, Danang)
With S$1000, I was wondering how far and how long can I travel around southeast asia. From chilling in Luang Prabang, Laos for 5 days to taking a 24 hours bus ride to Hanoi, Vietnam, I lasted a month. After which, I had to fly back to Singapore for a friend’s wedding.
2. Nov to Dec 2015: Australia Road trip. Sydney – Cairns – Alice Springs – Uluru – Adelaide – Melbourne – Canberra – Sydney
Drove for 10000km for this road trip. I had a buddy to drive along half of the journey. When I was planning this trip, I was wondering if I would get lonely by doing a solo road trip. A friend was able to join me for half of this trip so I never found out the answer. In Dec 2018, I am planning to do my solo road trip on the other half of Australia. Would try to blog that along the way.
